5 days Marrakech to the desert
Day 1: Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges
The 5-day tour from Marrakech to the desert begins with an exploration of the High Atlas Mountains, beginning with a photo stop in the village of Ait Berka. Then we continue to Ait ben haddou via the Tizi n tichka pass and Telouat. We visit the famous Kasbah and then continue to Dades. You will pass by the road of the thousand kasbahs. and we will visit the Valley of Roses. the first night of this circuit will be spent with locals in Dades.
Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga
After a good breakfast, we will take a short walk in the gorges. Then we continue our journey through the desert to the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. We stop in Tinghir to visit the old Jewish quarter, then we visit the Todgha Gorge before continuing to Merzouga. Overnight camel ride in the Sahara camp at Erg Chebbi. The camel ride to see the sunset in the dunes and the night in the Saharan camp at Erg Chebbi are the highlights of this trip from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert.
Day 3: Excursion to Merzouga
After your breakfast, we leave at the foot of the dunes on your camels. Then we leave in 4×4 to discover the nomads in their tents and listen to their stories in the desert while sharing a tea with them. We will then visit the village of Khamlia, famous for its Gnaoua musicians. You will attend a Gnaoua music show. Return by camel to the camp in the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Dinner around the campfire. Sleep in nomadic tents.
Day 4: Merzouga – Zagora
We will leave the desert after breakfast and a camel ride. Visit the large traditional market of Tafilalte, in Rissani, then we will continue to Zagora admiring the beautiful landscapes of the desert, we will stop at Tazarine to visit the palm grove, then we will continue via the Taghbalt village towards Zagora, possibility of visiting the nomads in their tents on this desert called the Hamada. We will take beautiful photos in the palm grove of Zagora before returning to our hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Zagora – Marrakech
We leave for Marrakech after your breakfast, we will follow the Todra Valley to Agdz, visit the Kasbah of Tamnougalt, and continue to Ouarzazate. From there, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech. We will drop you off at your accommodation.
