Marrakech 2 Days Tour to M’hamid Desert, gives you the opportunity to discover the M’hamid desert. From Marrakech, you travel through the High Atlas and you visit the kasbah of Ait Ben haddou. Then you continue your desert road to M’hamid via the Draa Valley where you will visit the kasbah of Tamnougalte. Then you continue to Zagora, you admire its palm grove, then we continue to the Sahara of M’hamid. You will experience a camel ride and a night in a bivouac in the dunes.
Marrakech 2 Days Tour to M’hamid Desert
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben hadaddou – Zagora – M’hamid
Departure from Marrakech in direction of Zagora we cross the High Atlas Mountains (Tizi-n Tichka 2260m). You will admire the Berber villages along the road to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Hadou (classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site). After the visit of the Kasbah, we will continue to Ouarzazate. Lunch will be taken in Agdz. Then we will cross the Draa valley to arrive at Zagora. We will continue to M’hamid Ghazlane (we will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea). Then, you will be invited to ride camels, and we will head to the desert bivouac (we will spend this night in nomad tents with a delicious dinner around the fire). If the sky is not full moon, then you enjoy the starry desert sky.
Day 2: Chegaga dunes – Lake Iriqui – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Marrakech
After the sunrise show in the dunes of Mhamid. The two day trip from Marrakech to M’hamid brings us back to Marrakech. We take our breakfast and we leave in 4×4 to discover the dunes of Chegaga. We will pass by the lake of Iriki, and we will continue towards the village Foum Zguid. You will take advantage of the stops to take beautiful pictures along this beautiful road. We arrive at the village of Taznakht. You will discover the saffron and the Berber carpets. Lunch in Taznakht. We continue our journey to Marrakech through the High Atlas; we drop you off at your hotel in Marrakech. End of the 2-day tour from Marrakech to Mhamid.
