3 days from Marrakech to Mhamid desert. You will discover the Mhamid desert, explore the dunes of Chegaga. Spend a night in nomadic tents in a camp in the Sahara of Chegaga. Admire the sunrise and sunset in the dunes. Discover the Berber villages of southern Morocco.
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Zagora – M’hamid desert
This 3 days from Marrakech to Mhamid desert starts from your accommodation in Marrakech to Zagora. We will pass by the High Atlas (Tizi-n Tichka 2260m). You will admire the Berber villages along the way to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Hadou; a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit of the historical Kasbah, then we continue to Ouarzazate, where you will visit the film studios and lunch will be taken in Ouarzazate. Then we will cross the village of Agdz and the Draa valley to reach Zagora. Then we will continue to Mhamid Ghazlane passing by Tamgroute to visit the pottery workshops and continue by the sandy road to Mhamid El Ghizlane. You will admire the sunset in the dunes while riding a camel.
We will spend this night in nomad tents with a delicious dinner around the fire. Sleep in nomad tents.
Day 2: Excursion to the Chegaga dunes
After the sunrise show in the dunes and breakfast. We will ride a camel for an adventure in the Sahara dunes. We will explore the dunes of Chegaga, and have a picnic lunch in the shade of acacia trees in a small Saharan oasis. Then we visit nomads in their tents. And we share with them a bread baked in the sand with tea made in the nomadic way. Then we return to our camp. We admire the sunset in the dunes, have dinner and spend the night in our camp.
Day 3: Chegaga dunes – Lake Iriki – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech
After the sunrise show in the dunes. We have breakfast, and we leave in 4×4 to discover Chegaga dunes. Then we will pass by the dry lake of Iriqui. Then we continue to Foum Zguid. You will take advantage of the stops to take beautiful pictures along this road. Then we arrive at the village of Taznakht, you will discover the saffron and the Berber carpets. After lunch in Taznakht, we continue our journey to Marrakech through the High Atlas. Drop off at your hotel in Marrakech. End of the 3 days from Marrakech to Mhamid desert.
