Day 1 – Arrive in Marrakech
Reception at Marrakech airport and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 – Marrakech – Zagora – M’hamid – Erg Zmila
Departure to the Sahara, we will cross the High Atlas mountains via Tizi n tichka 2260m to reach Ouarzazate, then we continue to Agdz, we will follow the Draa Valley to reach Zagora, and Mhamid. we meet our trekking team: cook and camel. We load our luggage and our food on the camels and start the trek. We head towards the dunes of Erg Zmila. Bivouac near Erg Zmila.
Walking time: 1h30.
Day 3 – Erg Zmila – Dunes of Sidi Naji
The trip from Erg Zmila to the dunes of Sidi Naji allows us to spend a beautiful day exploring the desert landscape, walking in the sand dunes to the rhythm of camels, night in a bivouac at the dunes of Sidi Naji.
Duration: 5-6 hours of walking.
Day 4 – Sidi Naji – Erg Zhar
We leave after a nomadic breakfast towards Erg Zhar. We walk in the silence of the desert in a very beautiful environment of the dunes towards the dunes of Erg Zaher. night in bivouac. Duration 5-6 hours of walking.
Day 5 – Erg Zhar – Erg Smar
We leave in the direction of Oued Draa passing through a village and its abandoned oasis.
We will then reach Erg Smar.
We then cross a desert plateau to reach Erg Sedrar. Bivouac in the dunes of Erg Smar. Duration 5-6 hours of walking.
Day 6 – Erg Smar – Erg Chegaga
Today our trek in the Sahara will continue towards the dunes of Erg Chegaga, We cross the wadi Attach.
Night in bivouac. Duration 5-6 hours of walking.
Day 7 – Erg Chegaga – Marrakech
End of Trek in the Chagaga desert, we will reach the village of Foum Zguid in 4×4, cross the dry lake of Iriki. Then we continue to the Berber village of Taznakht, from where our return trip will take us to visit the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Then we cross the High Atlas mountains to reach Marrakech. night in a hotel.
