2 days trek Marrakech Atlas Toubkal
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil 1740m – Toubkal Refuge 3207m
We pick you up at your accommodation in Marrakech and leave for the Imlil Valley. meeting with the team of tek and we start the hike, you will go hiking in the valley of Aït Mizane, towards the village of Aremd then the sanctuary of Sidi Chamarouch and the nearby waterfall. Continue on steep paths to the Toubkal refuge, where you will spend the night in a refuge. 1h30 drive. (5 hours walk)
Day 2: Refuge 3207m – Summit of Toubkal 4167m – Refuge 3207m – Imlil 1740m – Marrakech
Start your day early around 5 AM for an unforgettable adventure to the summit of Jbel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa at 4,176 meters. After a hearty breakfast, you’ll set off from Imlil, where your journey begins. The trail leads you through stunning landscapes, including lush valleys and rocky terrains, gradually ascending toward the summit.
As you reach the plateau, take a well-deserved break to soak in the breathtaking panoramic views. From this vantage point, you can see the sprawling plains of Marrakech, the majestic High Atlas Mountains, and the distant Anti-Atlas range—an awe-inspiring sight that makes the effort worthwhile. After enjoying the stunning vistas and capturing memorable photos, you’ll start your descent, taking your time to appreciate the beauty of the surroundings once more.
The trek back to Imlil will take approximately 4 to 5 hours, allowing you to reflect on the incredible experience. Upon arrival at Imlil, you can enjoy a brief rest before embarking on the 1.5-hour drive back to Marrakech. This exhilarating day of hiking, lasting about 10 hours in total, will leave you with unforgettable memories and a sense of accomplishment after conquering the highest peak in the region.
